FLAMINGO

an experiment

After playing around with Quixel Mixer as a free alternative to Substance Painter/Designer, I discovered Quixel Bridge and the Quixel Megascan Library. This is one of the first pieces I made using assets from the Megascan Library along with dynamic materials in Quixel Mixer. I also recently discovered the DECALmachine addon for Blender, which came with a bunch of free sci-fi decals. The idea for the piece came from a random scribble on a napkin that I thought looked like a flamingo standing on one leg. From there, I made a few sketches to solidify the composition, which resulted in one of my more popular renders.
