“People are forever connected, tethered to each other in all aspects in life. Those whose lines are cut - those who are left alone - will either wither and die, or survive long enough to resent those who left them.”

This was a piece responding to the quote above. Communities connected by literal tethers, connecting disparate cultures and far-away cultures together in a bleak, almost post-apocalyptic world.
